Trauma Sensitive Yoga Workshop

Join us for an informational and experiential workshop about Trauma Sensitive Yoga where we will learn the basics of moving and “growing through the muck toward the Sun,” like a Lotus Flower (Padmasana).

Please Join MBODY Teacher in Training, Liz McCoy, for this 2 hour workshop where Liz will offer general education on trauma and trauma sensitive yoga practices as well as lead us through some trauma sensitive yoga poses.

The primary source for this training is the evidence-based Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga Program (TCTSY) which is a program of the Center for Trauma and Embodiment at the Justice Resources Institute located in Brookline, MA. The program is directed by David Emerson.

Today, more than ever our world needs the healing power of forgiveness. During this workshop participants will learn how to apply the vibration of forgiveness to their body and mind. We will utilize this as a foundation for deeper healing to occur as we offer this grace to everyone in our lives. Finally, as a group we will send forgiveness to our divided population. This workshop is best experienced while lying down. Please prepare a quiet space with blankets and pillows to support your body while you are guided to breathe and relax.
